HI! I'm Allison Harris and I am the Early Childhood Director for The Crossing. My ministry is to little children. I love the way they laugh, learn, and love. In Early Childhood Ministries, we have the rare and short opportunity to reach into the heart and mind of young children with the passionate love of Jesus. They learn more at this age than at any other time of their life. What a great time to share with them the stories, and love of Jesus. We pray for them, their parents, and look for opportunities to help parents raise their children with Jesus as their priority. We provide a safe,secure, warm, and happy environment in which to teach children and for their parents to know that their is nothing, short of Jesus, as important to us than their children. My biggest responsibility is recruiting and training volunteers to teach and serve our young ones.
We have full programming during weekend services at all our campuses. The quincy campus also has a preschool.
I have been married to my best friend and ministry partner, Jerry for 26 years and 5 years of dating before that. Yes, that means I met him when I was 2 !!! I WISH! We have 5 children who are the light of our lives. Ben is the worship pastor at our Macomb campus. Brad & Jessi live in Overland Park KS. Joey is a student at Western Illinois University. Abby is a student at Quincy High school. Of course, I can't leave out our 2 labs - Lexi & Summer.
