Why The Crossing?
The Crossing is about one thing…To help people establish and grow into an intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We work hard to use whatever means necessary to make that happen and to take away any distractions that might hinder it. That “no holds barred” approach resonates with people. The Crossing is a place to connect with Christ and with a community that experiences that relationship together.
Why multiple locations?
Multiple locations opens doors to more communities that could benefit from The Crossing's approach. It means that we can cast a larger net and more people can experience what we are so passionate about.
Why has The Crossing grown so rapidly?
We can’t take the credit for that. We believe that God has had His hand on the work here. We can’t explain it any other way. We can only say that we can feel His presence here and our growth is just one evidence of that.
What do you have for our kids?
We love kids! There are awesome opportunities for all children at the Crossing. We dedicate the majority of our building to ministering to ages 0-18. For more information about our youth ministries go to our kids or students pages.
What is the “dress code” for church?
“Come as you are” is our dress code. We aren't concerned about your clothes but the person who’s in them!
How can I get to know other people?
While there are a number of opportunities, small groups is probably the best one. It's easy to get connected to one. Just get signed in on the web or stop by the hospitality area in the lobby and we’ll fix you up.
How can I become a Christian?
A Christian is a Christ-follower. Following Christ begins by establishing a relationship with Him. We understand how to do that by looking to God’s Word, the Bible. The Bible tells us to believe that He is God’s only Son who came to earth to save us from our sins. He died on a cross to pay our debt and came back to life 3 days later to prove that God accepted His death as our sin payment. These are the basics of what we believe. We then act on that belief by following His commands. Its not the obedience that saves us, it’s Christ Himself and His grace. Obedience shows us the truth of our belief. Obedience involves repentance (self-evaluation), confession (unashamed profession of belief in Christ), and baptism (an identification with Who saves us, Jesus). These are only first steps of a life-long journey with our Savior. If you have more questions, we’d love to talk to you about them, or for more specific information on our beliefs, click here.
